Promoting Knowledge Access, 91.885 Digital Collections Successfully Archived by UIN Jakarta Library

Main Library, UIN Online News - The Library of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta has achieved a significant milestone in developing technology-based services. As of early August 2025, the total number of digital collections at the UIN Jakarta Library has reached 91,855 titles, all of which can be accessed online by the entire academic community anytime and anywhere.

Out of the total, 88,729 items are available through the UIN Jakarta Repository while 3,126 e-book titles can be accessed via the Touch & Go Mobile Library platform.

Mudianah Mahmud, S.I.P., Coordinator for Library Collection Development, stated that this achievement reflects the library’s commitment to providing inclusive services that adapt to the demands of the times.

"We continuously expand access to high-quality scholarly resources through digitalization. These digital collections are available 24/7, greatly supporting research activities, learning, and scientific development," she added.

The available digital collections include various types of academic works, such as undergraduate theses, master’s theses, dissertations, journal articles, research reports, and e-books across diverse fields of study. Thanks to consistent efforts from cross-unit collaboration, such an achievement succesfully strengthen information technology-based services.

UIN Jakarta Students are encouraged to make use of the easy access to the 91,855 digital collections provided as primary references for their final assignments, research, and other academic needs. All collections comprising theses, dissertations, journals, and e-books from various disciplines are available online 24 hours a day through the Repository and Touch & Go Mobile Library platforms. This service supports flexible and independent learning while fostering a culture of literacy and research among students.

The digital transformation undertaken by the UIN Jakarta Library aligns with the university’s vision of becoming a globally reputable institution that integrates Islamic studies, Indonesian values, and modern sciences.
