Promoting Business Productivity and Efficiency, KOPMA UIN Jakarta Holds the 2024 National Cooperative Week Seminar
FEB Postgraduate Theater, UIN News Online – The Student Cooperative (KOPMA) of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta held a National Seminar on Friday (18/10/2024) as part of Cooperative Week (Pekan Koperasi) 2024. Themed “Increasing Business Productivity and Efficiency through Digitalization,” the event aimed to emphasize the critical role of digital technology in enhancing business operations.
Opening the seminar, Dr. Deden Mauli Darajat, S.Sos.I., M.Sc., representing UIN Jakarta’s leadership, highlighted the importance of ethical values and character development for students. “Good ethics and morals are essential for success, whether in business or in everyday life,” he stated, encouraging students to integrate these values into their entrepreneurial journeys.
Rayyan Izza Farouqi, Chairperson of KOPMA UIN Jakarta, expressed his hopes that cooperatives would be seen as innovative and relevant to modern students. “The student cooperative at UIN Jakarta provides a platform for students to develop their entrepreneurial skills,” Rayyan noted.
The seminar also welcomed Amalan Julita Najmah, S.Pd.I., from the Cooperative and MSME Agency of South Tangerang City, who praised the event for its focus on the future of cooperative businesses.
The event featured two main sessions. The first session, led by Ary Rahman Wahyudi, S.T., MURB & RegPig., Head of Sub-Directorate of Infrastructure Financing Management at the Ministry of PUPR, and Makhrus, SE, MM, Director of Finance and Administration at Benteng Mikro Indonesia Sharia Cooperative, centered on the impact of digitalization on Indonesia’s infrastructure and the growing role of sharia cooperatives in the national economy.
A talk show followed, moderated by Amirul Ardy, a student from the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) at UIN Jakarta. The speakers included social critic Guru Gembul and Muhammad Sirod, Founder of the Indonesian Water Association (IdWA), who discussed entrepreneurship, business history, and the importance of adapting to new business models in today’s digital age.
Amalan Julita Najmah further emphasized that digitalization is an essential tool in modern business, streamlining operations and improving overall efficiency. This seminar, part of the annual Cooperative Week, seeks to introduce cooperatives to the public, particularly students, while promoting creativity and innovation in the entrepreneurial sector.
The week-long Cooperative Week 2024 also includes a variety of competitions designed to strengthen the role of cooperatives in the evolving digital economy.
