Promote Higher Education Opportunities, UIN Jakarta Engages with Students of SMAIT Pesantren Daarul Quran Mulia
Gunung Sindur, UIN News Online – As part of its efforts to promote the 2025 New Student Admission (PMB) program, UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta conducted an outreach session at SMAIT Pesantren Daarul Quran Mulia, Gunung Sindur, Bogor, on Thursday (16/01/2025).
This event, led by Zaenal Muttaqin, M.A., Coordinator of Public Relations at UIN Jakarta, was attended by the school’s teachers and over a thousand students. The goal was to provide comprehensive guidance on UIN Jakarta’s admissions process, study programs, and the benefits of pursuing higher education at the university.
“Through this initiative, we aim to ensure that students are well-informed about the admission pathways and can make the best choices aligned with their talents and aspirations,” Zaenal stated.
During the session, UIN Jakarta’s Public Relations Team showcased the university’s faculties and study programs, emphasizing its superior accreditation status. Most of its programs are internationally accredited by ACQUIN and ASIIN, solidifying its reputation as a leading Islamic university in Indonesia.
The team also elaborated on the five available admission pathways for prospective students: the National Selection Based on Achievement (SNBP), which considers academic and non-academic achievements; the National Selection Computer-Based Test (SNBT), based on a computer-based test; the National Academic Achievement Selection of State Islamic Religious Universities (SPAN-PTKIN), which evaluates report card-based assessments and academic performance; the State Islamic Religious Universities Entrance Examination (UM-PTKIN), conducted through an electronic selection system; and the Independent New Student Admission Selection (SPMB Mandiri), which includes regular and non-regular options, combining written exams, report cards, and interviews. These diverse pathways ensure that students have multiple options to enter UIN Jakarta based on their strengths and preferences.
The interactive session saw enthusiastic participation from students, who raised questions about career prospects, scholarships, and specific faculties. Among them, Hanny expressed her ambition to join UIN Jakarta’s Faculty of Medicine, stating, “Insya Allah, I aspire to be part of this university. Please pray for my success.”
Similarly, Adnan shared his interest in the Chemistry program under the Faculty of Science and Technology and revealed a secondary option in the Faculty of Psychology.
