Professor Suma’inna, Renowned Applied Mathematics Scholar at UIN Jakarta
Jakarta, UIN Online News – UIN Jakarta continues to uphold its commitment to academic excellence and research by appointing distinguished scholars in various disciplines. One of its latest achievements is the promotion of Dr. Suma’inna as a Professor of Applied Mathematics at the Faculty of Science and Technology (FST) UIN Jakarta.
Professor Suma’inna holds a Doctorate in Pure and Applied Mathematics from Waseda University, Tokyo, a Master’s degree in Mathematical Sciences from the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB), and a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from STAIN Malang. Her extensive academic journey reflects her dedication to advancing mathematical sciences.
During her doctoral studies, she actively participated in industry partnerships at the National Research Agency, Tokyo University of Science (TUS) in 2019. This collaboration focused on integrating academic research with industrial applications to drive scientific and technological advancements.
Her research interests span various fields, including fluid dynamics, population dynamics, non-linear partial differential equations, and statistics. Among her notable scholarly works is “Local Solvability for a Compressible Fluid Model of Korteweg Type on General Domains”, which contributes to the development of mathematical models for analyzing fluid systems under diverse boundary conditions.
With over 15 years of dedicated service as a lecturer at UIN Jakarta, Professor Suma’inna was officially appointed as a full professor in Applied Mathematics at the end of 2024. Her academic contributions not only enhance UIN Jakarta’s reputation in science and mathematics but also inspire students to innovate and make meaningful contributions to academia and research.
