Professor Acceleration Program Will be Open In April-May

Rectorate, UIN News Online – the Institute for Research and Community Service (LP2M) UIN Jakarta will open the professor acceleration program for lecturers to become professor in May-April, 2017. LP2M targeted 10-12 lecturers to participate in the program that will be held in July, 2017.

This was conveyed by the head of Institute for Research and Community Service (LP2M) UIN Jakarta Prof. Dr. Arskal Salim GP MA to UIN News Online, Monday, (3/12). “Insya Allah, we will announce the information regarding this program in April, selection process in May. The program will be start in July,” he said.

Arskal expected that the lecturers that already meet the stratification according to rank to participate in the program. However, he continued, they must have an international ready-to-publish scientific article as one of the prerequisition. “A scientific article is the key for the lecturers in order to participate in the program,” said Arskal.

In early February, LP2M holds the first wave of Professor Acceleration Program for the lecturers.  Of the dozens of applications, only 10 lecturers passed the selection to participate in this program.

The program implementation is based on the continuous reduction of professors in UIN Jakarta due to retirement. While at the same time, the scientific development in UIN Jakarta needs a lot of professors as the determinants. (usa)
