Press Release: UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta Achieves Excellent Accreditation in Various Study Programs
Ciputat, UIN News Online – UIN Jakarta has once again achieved remarkable success, with several of its study programs earning an "Excellence" (Unggul) accreditation status. This milestone reflects the university's ongoing commitment to enhancing the academic quality of higher education in Indonesia, positioning it as a leading Islamic institution in the nation.
The university’s achievement is largely attributed to the effective implementation of the Instrument of Conversion Supplement (ISK) by the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT). This modern accreditation system has facilitated a smooth transition from the previous framework, expediting the accreditation process for high-performing programs without requiring full field assessments.
Among the standout achievements, the Islamic Community Development Study Program earned superior accreditation with a score of 365, recognizing its excellence in teaching, research, and community service. The Tarjamah (Translation) Study Program also reached new heights with an impressive score of 376, reflecting its commitment to producing skilled graduates in translation and language studies—fields of growing importance in a globalized world.
Other notable successes include the Islamic History and Civilization Study Program, which achieved a score of 382, demonstrating its leadership in advancing the study of Islamic history, and the Qur'an and Tafsir Study Program, with a score of 378, recognized for its excellence in integrating research-driven Qur’anic studies with contemporary approaches.
The Religious Studies Program earned a score of 380, reinforcing its role in fostering interfaith dialogue and promoting a deep understanding of religious pluralism. At the graduate level, the Master’s Program in Islamic History and Culture achieved a score of 361, while the Master’s Program in Religious Studies scored 365, showcasing their increasing relevance in addressing contemporary academic and societal issues.
Additionally, the Master's Program in Islamic Studies achieved an excellent score of 375, and the Doctoral Program in Islamic Studies also gained excellent accreditation status with a score of 374. These accomplishments underline UIN Jakarta’s focus on advancing higher education and producing graduates with deep expertise in Islamic studies.
Rector of UIN Jakarta, Prof. Asep Saepudin Jahar, M.A., Ph.D., expressed his pride in these achievements, stating, "Our success in securing superior accreditation reflects the collective hard work of the entire UIN Jakarta academic community. We remain committed to continuously improving the quality of education and producing highly competitive graduates, both at the national and international levels," said Asep.
