Press Release: UIN Jakarta Ready to Hold 141st Graduation Ceremony, Graduates Officially Inaugurated
Jakarta, UIN News Online – UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta will hold an Open Senate Session in the context of the 141st Graduation Ceremony for Bachelor's, Master's, and Doctoral Programs. The ceremony will take place on Saturday and Sunday, September 5–6 and September 12–13, 2026, at the Harun Nasution Auditorium of UIN Jakarta, and will be attended by 3,154 graduates from various faculties and educational levels.
The 141st Graduation Ceremony carries the theme “Strengthening Innovative Graduates with Integrity and Impact on Humanity”. Its execution is divided across four days, with participants grouped by faculty. On Saturday, September 5, 2026, participants will come from the Faculty of Educational Sciences (FITK), Faculty of Islamic Studies (FDI), and the Graduate School (SPs). On the following day, Sunday, September 6, participants will include the Faculty of Theology (FU), Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB), and Faculty of Health Sciences (FIKES).
The ceremony will continue on Saturday, September 12, 2026, featuring graduates from the Faculty of Da'wah and Communication Sciences (FDIKOM), Faculty of Psychology (FPsi), and Faculty of Science and Technology (FST). Finally, on Sunday, September 13, 2026, participants will be from the Faculty of Humanities (FAH), Faculty of Sharia and Law (FSH), and Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP).
The series of graduation proceedings will commence early in the morning. Based on the schedule, graduates are expected to gather in front of the Rectorate Building at 06:00 WIB before entering the Harun Nasution Auditorium. The procession of graduates entering the hall will be accompanied by the marching band, followed by the procession of Senate members, including the Chairman of the Senate, the Rector, Vice-Rectors, Deans, and Professors.
Following the opening ceremony, the event will proceed with the recitation of holy verses from the Qur'an and prayers, the formal opening of the Open Senate Session, the reading of the Rector's Decree regarding graduation, and the inauguration of the graduates. The procession will then continue with the Rector's address, presentation of alumni books, shifting of the tassel, and handing over of diplomas. In addition to the inauguration ceremony, the 141st Graduation will also bestow honors upon the best graduates and best undergraduate theses. These awards will be presented as part of the scheduled proceedings on each respective graduation day.
Through the 141st Graduation Ceremony, UIN Jakarta will officially inaugurate graduates from various academic levels, who are expected to continue their academic and professional journeys within society.
