President of International Islamic University, Islamabad Visit UIN Jakarta

Rectorate, UIN News Online – President of International Islamic University, Islamabad, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Yousif Ahmed Al Draiweesh, accompanied by representatives of the Pakistani Embassy in Jakarta paid a visit to Faculty of Dirasat Islamiyah (FDI) UIN Jakarta on Tuesday (02/27/2018).

During the visit, Ahmed Al Draiweesh said that he had visited Gontor Pesantren, Ponorogo and Pesantren Darunnajah. He gave the opportunity to 10 gontor santris and 5 Darunnajah santris, as well as FDI UIN Jakarta students to continue their master's degree in IIU.

Furthermore, Dean of FDI UIN Jakarta Hamka Hasan, Lc., M.A invites the delegation to meet with the Rector of UIN Jakarta Prof Dr Dede Rosyada MA, accompanied by Vice Rector for Cooperation Affairs Prof Dr Murodi MA.

Based on the meeting outcomes, UIN Jakarta and IIU are agreed to hold an international conference entitled “Islam Moderat menurut Al-Qur’an dan Sunnah: Pengalaman Indonesia dan Pakistan” which is further stipulated in the form of MoU signing between the two parties.

For information, International Islamic University, Islamabad, which was established on November 11, 1980 is a state research higher education institution located in the urban area of Islamabad, Pakistan and considered as one of the leading institutions to study Islam, theology, comparative religion and Islamic religious sciences.
