Newscaster Must Present News Contents Clearly

Diorama Room, UIN News Online – A newscaster must be able to present the news content clearly. Because, the presenter is a communicator or messenger to the audience. This was said by senior journalist Mudzakir Husein in his presentation at the TVR days titled “Sosialisasi TVR Parlemen Melalui Jejaring Kampus”, organized by – Center for Career Development (CDC) UIN Jakarta in collaboration with TVR Parlemen on Thursday (07/07/2022), held at diorama room, campus I of UIN Jakarta. Apart from Mudzakir, two Editors of TVR Parlemen, Yuslihayanti and Jaka Sindu are also invited to be a speakers. According to Mudzakir Husein, newscasting techniques need to adapt to the conditions of today's society. Because, he said, the world and the audience behaviour will continue to change. He also explained, to be a good newscaster, it is necessary to pay attention to articulation or clarity in pronouncing each letter. “Newscaster must be able to communicates the news as accurately and simply as possible to the public,” he said. The editor of TVR Parlemen, Jaka Sindu, said that currently the media are no longer pursuing ratings, but followers. Therefore, a presenter must appear to speak effectively and pleasantly. Meanwhile, Yuslihayanti in her presentation said that a newscaster or presenter will face many challenges. Because, the presenter or newscaster is the front line in an event. The most important thing a presenter and newscaster needs to master is confidence. Yuslihayanti added that a critical attitude is also the main capital that a presenter needs to have. Not only that, a presenter also needs to have a consistent attitude and great sensitivity. “Presenters must be willing to listen and accept any inputs,” she said. (ns/hn/usa)
