Surabaya, UIN News Online – Along with the spirit of public information disclosure (KIP), UIN Jakarta continues to strive to become an “informative” public institution according to the criteria of the Central Public Information Commission (KIP). Therefore, the quality of public information services at UIN Jakarta must be improved to meets the expectations of the Central KIP.

This was said by the Chief of Information and Documentation Management Officer (PPID) UIN Jakarta Afwan Faizin during a comparative study visit at the Airlangga University (Unair) Surabaya, Wednesday (08/03/2022).

“The current status of the PPID UIN Jakarta is still "Towards Informative". That's why we want to learn a lot from PPID Unair which already holds the "Informative" status from the Central KIP,” said Afwan, who also served as the Head of the Center for Public Relations and Legal Aid Service (PLHBH) UIN Jakarta.

According to Afwan, PPID UIN Jakarta is still pursuing the Informative status according to several criteria required by the Central KIP. He also said that the dashboard of the PPID UIN Jakarta website needs to be improved. Likewise, information data from several units has not been fully published.

The point is, Afwan said, UIN Jakarta still needs effort to get the Informative criteria. Therefore, he also hopes that the leadership of UIN Jakarta and the entire academic community will continue to provide moral support so that the informative target can be achieved.

Meanwhile, Unair PPID team member, Hilda Yunita Sabrie, explained that Unair received an Informative assessment with a score of 99.10 from the Central KIP. This means that Unair has been ranked as a state university institution that has public information disclosure.

According to Hilda, this was achieved due to the leadership's political will and the spirit of the PPID’s administrator team as well as cooperation between university elements. Another thing is because of the financial support and adequate human resources.

“In fact, all elements at Unair, said Hilda, were quite cooperative and open so that it was very easy for the PPID team to get access to information,” said Hilda.
