Pestarama 2022 Invites Audience to Look Back at Wisran Hadi's Creative Works
FITK, UIN News Online – Since 2016, the Week of Appreciation for Literature and Drama (Pestarama) has become a milestone in the development of cultural identity and activity in the Ciputat area, especially on the UIN Jakarta campus. Pestarama runs on the initiative and collective work of the entire academic community of the Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Program (PBSI). Running regularly from year to year, Pestarama has received a lot of positive appreciation from academics and cultural activists. Especially in this edition, Pestarama, which is in its seventh edition, is pleased to hold a cultural festival with the main headline “Membumi Bersama Wisran Hadi” throughout March 21-28, 2022.
As one of the most important literary and cultural figures, Wisran Hadi and his legacy will be manifested with a touch that is adaptive and relevant to current conditions. Therefore, Pestarama will answer the public's thirst related to cultural activities by holding theater performances, exhibitions of documentation of Wisran Hadi's works, national webinars, book discussions, until the awarding night (joint prayer) as a form of appreciation for Wisran Hadi's journey in particular, and national culture in general.
“Pestarama is not only an intellectual process, but also introduces literary and cultural figures to the wider community. Providing special experiences that are relevant in the 21st century, ranging from critical thinking, creativity, communication, to collaboration,” said the Dean of FITK UIN Jakarta Sururin on Saturday (03/19/2022).
Through Pestarama, the academic community unites and synergizes to realize the success of a series of events. Not only that, Pestarama shows our intellectual journey in terms of contributing to the development of language and literature in Indonesia.
