Pesona I PTKN Bandung, UIN Jakarta Pocketed 5 Medals

Bandung, UIN News Online – Entering the fourth day of the Week of Arts and Sports (Pesona) I of State Religious Universities (PTKN) throughout Indonesia at UIN Bandung, Thursday (08/11/2022), the UIN Jakarta Contingent won five medals won five medals from several competition.

The first gold medal was won from the Men's Musabaqah Tilawatil Qur'an (MTQ) art competition on behalf of Haikal Khalilullah. Then the second gold was donated from the Men's Singles Karate sport competition  on behalf of Muhammad Raihan Wibisono.

While the first silver medal was obtained from the Women's MTQ competition on behalf of Lili Rahmah, the second silver medal was obtained from Rock Climbing competition on behalf of Yolanda, and the third silver medal was obtained from the Men's Team Chess on behalf of Ahmad Shofie Ashfiya, Budi Harianto, and Syawal Udin.

Based on Pesona I medal tally released by Pesone I committee on Thursday (08/11/2022) night, UIN Jakarta is in fourth position after UIN Surabaya with three gold, two silver and one bronze medals. Meanwhile, UIN Palembang still ranks at the top with six gold and one bronze medals.

UIN Bandung is in second place with four gold, three silver, and 5 bronze medals, while in fifth place is UIN Yogyakarta with two gold, two silver and one bronze medals.

“Hopefully the UIN Jakarta contingent will get another gold medal in the next competition,” said the head of Student Affairs section of UIN Jakarta Ikhwan.

The Pesona I event which lasted until August 13 was attended by 62 PTKN throughout Indonesia, consisting of 24 UIN, 29 IAIN, 5 STAIN, and 4 other PTKN, namely UHN I Gusti Bagus (IGB) Sugriwa Bali, IAKN Kupang, STAKN Pontianak, and STABN Sriwijaya Tangerang. (ns/usa)
