PBSI UIN Jakarta and two PTKIN in East Java agree to collaborate

Rectorate, UIN News Online – In order to succeed the Merdeka Learning Program at the Merdeka Campus (MBKM), Indonesian Language and Literature Education (PBSI) department of the Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training (FITK) UIN Jakarta agree to collaborate with UIN Tulungagung and IAIN Kediri on Wednesday (0/09/2022). This collaboration is expected to support the optimal implementation of the MBKM program in each campus.

In addition to student exchanges, MBKM collaboration also includes joint research and joint scientific publications between lecturers. Furthermore, joint community service, and organizing joint academic forums which include seminars, workshops, public lectures, and collegial discussions, both offline and online.

The leaders of each institution also responded positively to this collaboration. “UIN Syarif Hidayatullah is one of the best universities in Indonesia. Hopefully the cooperation between the two institutions will run smoothly and will be beneficial for the development of the institution," said the Rector of IAIN Kediri, Nur Chamid.

Head of Indonesian Language Study Program Education Department, Faculty of Tarbiyah IAIN Kediri, Iwan Marwan also hoped that the collaboration between PBSI UIN Jakarta and the Indonesian Language Education department IAIN Kediri would lead to efforts to increase the competence of lecturers and students. Iwan also hopes that program activities related to education, research, and community service can be carried out collaboratively by both parties.

The leadership of UIN Tulung Agung also gave the same response. This cooperation agreement was attended by the Chancellor of UIN Satu Maftukhin, the Dean of the Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training, Binti Maunah, and the Head of the Indonesian Language Department at UIN Satu Tulungagung Siti Zumrotul Maulida.

“This collaboration is the program we have been waiting for,” said Siti Zumrotul Maulida.

She hopes that this collaboration will be able to produce outputs between universities under the auspices of the Indonesian Ministry of Religious Affairs. In addition, cooperation is one of the efforts initiated by IPTABI (Indonesian Language Study Program Association) within PTKIN and PTKIS (Private Islamic Religious Colleges).

Head of PBSI Department of UIN Jakarta Makyun Subuki hopes that this collaboration can advance PTKIN and PTKIS. Therefore, all these positive activities must be fully supported by policy makers.

“This MoU does not only focus on the eight aspects of MBKM proclaimed by Dikti, but in all aspects (collaboration, sharing experiences, exchanging programs) which aims to advance PTKIN and PTKIS,” he said. (zm/usa)
