PBSI FITK UIN Jakarta and IPTABI Holds National Seminar
FITK, UIN News Online – Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Program (PBSI) FITK UIN Jakarta and IPTABI (Indonesian Language EducationStudy Program Association) held a National Seminar (Semnas) Tuesday, May 31, 2022 themed "Integrasi Kajian Keislaman dalam Penelitian Linguistik di PTKI (Perguruan Tinggi Keguruan Islam)" . This seminar is a routine activity organized by IPTABI which covers three areas of the scientific consortium, namely learning, linguistics, and literature.
Chair of IPTABI Siti Isnaniah in her remarks expressed her appreciation for PTKI representatives who are willing to become resource persons and also to the Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Program (PBSI) FITK UIN Jakarta who had been willing to host the second series of seminars.
“Hopefully this seminar can be a research road map for each study program,” she said.
Meanehile the Head of the PBSI Department of FITK UIN Jakarta, Makyun Subuki, as the host expressed his hope in the future that collaborative research will emerge from the results of periodic meetings between IPTABI members, as well as follow up on cooperation between agencies.
Meanwhile, the Head of the PBSI FITK UIN Jakarta Study Program, Makyun Subuki, in his remarks hoped that the results of regular meetings between IPTABI members can be used as collaborative research in the future. In this activity, there were five resource persons who discussed linguistic studies from various perspectives. The first resource person Makyun Subuki (UIN Jakarta) presented material on Linguistics and Islamic Studies. In his presentation, Makyun conveyed the opportunity in combining Linguistic and Islamic Studies. The second resource person, Iwan Marwan (IAIN Kediri) presented Sufi Humor in a Semiotic Perspective. In his presentation, Iwan said that humor is an interesting thing in life because everyone has a unique and different sense of humor. “One of the national figures who has a distinctive humor is the late Gusdur. Understanding the meaning of Sufi humor texts means understanding the connotative meanings that contain ideology and have intertextuality with scriptures or religious texts,” said Iwan.
The third resource person, Itaristanti (IAIN Cirebon) explained the material entitled Linguistic Research Landscape at IAIN Syekh Nurjati Cirebon. In her presentation, Itaristanti conveyed that linguistic contribution in learning Indonesian language has an important role because it becomes the basis for prospective Indonesian language teachers.
The fourth resource person, Ali Mansur, M.Pd. (IAI Darussalam Blokagung Banyuwangi) raised Slang language material at Islamic Boarding Schools in a Modern Linguistic Perspective. Ali Mansur took as an example the language aspect at IAI Darussalam which is located in a boarding school complex. The boarding school environment that comes from different backgrounds, has a logical consequence for its varied language variety. It also gave birth to a special language or slang in the boarding school environment.
he last resource person, Istiqamah, M.Pd. (IAIN Aceh) presented the material on the Implementation of Islamic-Based Politeness in PTKI. “"Based on the results of the study, the majority of language politeness conditions at PTKI are in the polite category. This shows that the implementation of Islamic-based language politeness can improve one's language character," she concluded.
The event, which was moderated by Mohammad Siddiq (UIN Jakarta) was attended by 200 participants from various campuses such as UIN Jakarta, IAIN Kediri, IAIN Cirebon, IAI Darussalam Banyuwangi, IAIN Lhokseumawe Aceh, UIC, UT, STMI, and ITTelkom.
