PBAK 2026: UIN Jakarta Introduces Integrated Services for New Students
Harun Nasution Auditorium, UIN News Online – The 2026 Academic and Student Culture Orientation (PBAK) at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta hosted an orientation session titled “Getting to Know UIN Jakarta: Academic Facilities, Infrastructure, Finances, Student Affairs, and Cooperation.” Designed to equip incoming students with information regarding various services and institutional programs, the event took place at the Harun Nasution Auditorium on Thursday (27/8/2026).
This orientation session featured a lineup of speakers from various university administrative units, including Head of the Disability Services Center, Lisma Dyawati Fuaida, M.Si.; Head of General Affairs as well as Acting Head of the Financial Planning Bureau, Dr. Arif Rahman, S.Th.I., M.Pd.; and Head of the Academic Division as well as Acting Head of the AAKK Bureau, Rahmawati, S.Psi., M.M.
Also in attendance were Social Trust Fund (STF) Staff, H. Willy Oktaviano, Lc., M.A.; Center for Information Technology and Data Base (Pustipanda) Staff, Reza Alamsyah, S.Kom.; Head of the Green Campus Center, Prof. Dr. Hendrawati, M.Si.; Coordinator of the Center for Gender and Child Studies (PSGA), Nadya Kharima, M.Kesos.; Syarif Hidayatullah Hospital Physician, dr. Yunita Ratna Sari; and Head of the Center for Information and Public Relations (PIH), Zaenal Muttaqin, S.Th.I., M.Ag.
The presentation series opened with Head of the Disability Services Center, Lisma Dyawati Fuaida, M.Si., who reaffirmed UIN Jakarta's commitment to creating a disability-friendly campus. Lisma detailed the provision of physical infrastructure such as tactile guiding blocks, ramps in building areas, and academic support facilities including assistive technology (screen-reading software).
“Through the Disability Services Center, UIN Jakarta is committed to fostering a welcoming and inclusive learning environment. We ensure that all students with disabilities receive their rights to tailored academic services, assistive technology, and accessible campus facilities,” she stated.
Continuing on governance, Acting Head of the Financial Planning Bureau, Dr. Arif Rahman, S.Th.I., M.Pd., presented the transparent management of operational budgets and Single Tuition Fee (UKT) funds, which are optimized to fulfill student learning facility needs.
Meanwhile, Acting Head of the Academic, Student, and Cooperation Administration Bureau (AAKK), Rahmawati, S.Psi., M.M., outlined academic procedures for new students, covering the e-RS registration workflow on e-Semesta, the implementation of the Outcome-Based Education (OBE) curriculum, and code-of-conduct enforcement.
“New students are required to understand academic procedures, such as filling out the e-RS each semester, and to comply with the campus code of conduct. Our curriculum is designed based on OBE to cultivate competitive and noble-character graduates,” she emphasized.
Regarding scholarships, Social Trust Fund (STF) representative H. Willy Oktaviano, Lc., M.A., introduced the function of STF as the campus philanthropic institution providing scholarships, internships, and emergency aid to ensure no student drops out due to financial constraints.
Addressing digital infrastructure readiness, Pustipanda Staff Reza Alamsyah, S.Kom., explained the ease of accessing the e-Semesta portal, activating official Microsoft 365 accounts, and connecting to free integrated Wi-Fi across campus grounds.
On environmental sustainability, Head of the Green Campus Center, Prof. Dr. Hendrawati, M.Si., urged incoming students to actively participate in waste sorting initiatives, energy efficiency, and single-use plastic reduction to preserve the green campus ecosystem.
Concerning student protection, Coordinator of the Center for Gender and Child Studies (PSGA), Nadya Kharima, M.Kesos., explained the Integrated Service Unit available in each faculty to facilitate reporting and psychological support for handling sexual violence cases.
In healthcare services, Syarif Hidayatullah Hospital Physician dr. Yunita Ratna Sari introduced the availability of a 24-hour Emergency Room and 23 specialist clinics supported by the Faculties of Medicine, Health Sciences, and Psychology to serve the academic community.
The orientation series concluded with remarks from Head of the Information and Public Relations Center (PIH), Zaenal Muttaqin, S.Th.I., M.Ag., who reminded new students to always rely on official UIN Jakarta publication channels, exercise wisdom on social media, and refrain from spreading hoaxes.
The 2026 PBAK UIN Jakarta series ran from August 26, 2026. The schedule commenced with the University PBAK on August 26–27, followed by Faculty PBAK on August 28–29, and concluded with the Student Activity Unit Village (Kampung UKM) on August 30.
