PBAK 2026: Deputy Chairperson III of the South Tangerang DPRD, Maria Teresa Invites New Students to Collaborate at UIN Jakarta
Harun Nasution Auditorium, UIN News Online – Deputy Chairman III of the South Tangerang City Regional People's Representative Council (DPRD) for the 2024–2029 period, Maria Teresa Suhardja, B.Sc., was present as a resource person on the second day of the 2026 Introduction to Academic and Student Culture (PBAK) UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta at the Harun Nasution Auditorium, Thursday (27/08/2026).
Guided by a lecturer at the Faculty of Da'wah and Communication Sciences (FDIKOM) Farabi Ferdiansah, M.Si. as the moderator, Maria presented material entitled "Digital Transformation, Innovation, Leadership, and Sustainability for a Competitive Indonesia". In the talk show, she emphasized the four main pillars of global transformation, namely the technological revolution, digital transformation, global talent competition, and green and climate transition.
He also highlighted how the current ease of information technology provides a very wide space for students to express their opinions and voice their aspirations.
"It is very easy for us to share information with people around the world and Indonesia through technology. With just fingers, we can post our news and opinions, especially the hot issues regarding the government," he said.
Regarding the position of UIN Jakarta in the South Tangerang area, Maria emphasized the commitment of the regional legislature to open the door to collaboration as widely as possible with the creative ideas of students.
"Because UIN Jakarta has given birth to many young people with new innovations and the spirit of young people, it is certain that the South Tangerang City DPRD is very open to various inputs, proposals, and innovations that we want to collaborate together," he said.
He added that such collaboration is very important to solve various real urban challenges.
"This includes efforts to deal with current issues, for example issues that are currently crowded such as waste, technology, and future development. It is certainly possible to collaborate with young people, and we need the spirit of young people to hit these issues," he concluded.
The material was delivered at Session 1 of the Second Day of PBAK UIN Jakarta 2026 which was attended by 1,203 new students from the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) and 229 students from the Faculty of Dirasat Islamiyah (FDI).
This session also presented other national speakers, including, Deputy Minister of Home Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, Dr. H. Bima Arya Sugiarto, S.I.P., Scholar & Islamic Thought Expert Yudi Latif, M.A., Ph.D.; Political Communication Analyst Salsabila Syaira, S.I.P., M.I.P.; and Content Creator and lecturer of FDIKOM Musfiah Saidah, S.Sos., M.Si.
