PBA Masters program is expected to get better recognition

FITK, UIN News Online – The Faculty of Educational Sciences (FITK) UIN Jakarta expect the Arabic Laguange Education (PBA) Masters program to get better recognition. This recognition will surely encourage the spirit of FITK to open a PBA doctoral program in the future.

This was said by the Dean of FITK UIN Jakarta Sururin during the virtual re-accreditation assessment for PBA Masters program, Monday (09/21/2020).

“Hopefully the MPBA Study Program will get better recognition in the future, so the plan to open the PBA doctoral program can be carried out as planned,” she said.

The MPBA Study Program from Monday to Tuesday (22/9) is being assessed by two assessors from the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT), namely Ali Mudlofir (professor of Arabic at UIN Surabaya) and Hisyam Zaini (professor of Arabic at UIN Yogyakarta).

The department head of MPBA FITK UIN Jakarta Muhbib Abdul Wahab said, the accreditation of MPBA Study Program in 2014 was ranked B. For this year, the accreditation results are targeted to get an A rank.

“I am optimistic that we will get better re-accreditation results,” he said.

Muhbib said there were at least seven points that became the standard for BAN-PT's assessment, namely standard 1 (vision, mission, goals, objectives, achievement strategies), standard 2 (governance, leadership, management system, quality assurance), standard 3 (students and graduates), standard 4 (human resources), standard 5 (curriculum, learning, academic atmosphere), standard 6 (financing, facilities and infrastructure, information systems), and standard 7 (research, service / community service and cooperation).

“If we get a satisfying result, Insha Allah we will soon also open the PBA doctoral program,” said Muhbib. (usa/ns)
