PBA FITK UIN Jakarta Launches Kalimātunā: Journal of Arabic Research (KJAR)

FITK, UIN News Online – Arabic Education (PBA) department of Tarbiyah and Teachers Training Sciences (FITK) UIN Jakarta successfully launched a new journal called Kalimātunā: Journal of Arabic Research (KJAR), at the PBA Study Program Office, Tangerang, Wednesday (03/30/2022). The launch of the journal which is managed directly under the PBA department was attended by the Dean of FITK, Sururin.

On that occasion, the Dean of FITK, Sururin appreciated the PBA Study Program who had fought hard to produce a new journal, namely Kalimātunā. Sururin also hopes that the Kalimātunā journal can become a medium to publish scientific works that are collaboratively made by lecturers and students, both from internal study programs or other study programs.

In addition, she referred to the birth of Kalimātunā as the younger brother of the Arabiyat journal, who also had to follow in the footsteps of his older brother who was now ranked SINTA 2 and was heading for scopus.

“I hope that this Kalimātunā journal will soon be included in SINTA, following in the footsteps of her brother, Arabiyat, and Arabiyat is also expected to be indexed by SCOPUS,” she hoped.

The head of PBA Department Zainal Muttaqin also gives full appreciation to the editorial team of the Kalimātunā journal who has worked hard to meet the journal launch deadline in March 2022. He hopes that the team will continue to be committed to publishing journal manuscripts in accordance with the specified time.

He also motivates lecturers to be diligent in conducting research activities, even though they do not get research funds. The results of the research will be accommodated and published in the journal Kalimātunā.

“Hopefully the research can be published in Kalimātunā and can provide benefits to the public,” he said.

For information, Kalimātunā: Journal of Arabic Research (KJAR) is targeted to be published 2 times a year. This journal is also published in two editions, namely hard copy  and soft copy which can be accessed via https://journal.uinjkt.ac.id/index.php/kalimatuna.

KJAR is led by Erta Mahyudin, supported by managing editor, Fatima El Zahraa, Muhamad Fahri. The management of the manuscript is also supported by professional editors, namely, Zainal Muttaqin, Toto Edidarmo, N. Lalah Alawiyah, Maswani Maswani, Yazid Hady, Iman Matin, Achmad Fudhaili, Rizki Fathul Huda. As supporting staff, there are Kisno Umbar, and Irfan Nur Alfillail. As for the language advisor, Ahmad Thib Raya for Arabic, and Waliyadin Waliyadin for English.

To ensure the quality of published articles, KJAR involves several reviewers from internal campuses, external campuses, and from abroad.
