P2KM UIN Jakarta Successfully Holds Public Lecture and Book Review on the Connection Between Indonesian and Chinese Muslims

Ciputat, UIN News Online - Center for Communication and Media Studies (P2KM), Faculty of Da'wah and Communication Sciences (FDIKOM) UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta successfully held a public lecture on writing and book review of Indonesian Chinese Muslim Linkages, at the 6th floor Theater Building FDIKOM, Tuesday, October 29, 2024.

Executive Director of P2KM UIN Jakarta, Dr. Deden Mauli Darajat, said this activity is part of the enrichment of knowledge related to writing. “We hope that this writing public lecture and book review can be utilized as well as possible by the students who attend,” said Dr. Deden.

The Dean of FDIKOM UIN Jakarta, Dr. Gun Gun Heryanto, appreciated the writing public lecture and book review. “It is not easy to write a book. We must appreciate this book that is dissected in this event,” said the Dean.

The author of the book, Dr. Budy Sugandi, revealed that this book is a series of writings written by experts in their fields. “As the author and editor of this book, I got a lot of enlightenment related to the relationship or link between Indonesian and Chinese Muslims,” said Dr. Budy.

The second speaker, Kaula Fahmi, M.Hum, said that the relationship between Indonesia and China has been established for a very long time. “As an administrator of PCINU China, I learn a lot about Muslims in China,” said Kaula, who is also a lecturer at UIN Jakarta's Faculty of Arabic and Humanities.

The third speaker, Dr. Dedi Fahrudin, conveyed the motivation to write a book. Writing a book, said Dr. Dedi, must be done with discipline so that later these writings become real works in the form of books. “This book becomes a CV that is easily read by the public,” said Dr. Dedi.

The public lecture on writing and book review by Dr. Budy Sugandi was attended by 200 students of FDIKOM UIN Jakarta. The participants were very enthusiastic by asking various questions to the speakers.
