Nizar Ali: selection process must be transparent, objective, and accountable

Rectorate, UIN News Online – The secretary General of the Indonesian Minister of Religious Affairs Nizar Ali emphasized that emphasized that the Echelon I selection process for the Ministry of Religious Affairs must be carried out objectively and transparently.

This was said by Nizar, representing the Indonesian Minister of Religious Affairs Yaqut Cholil Qoumas during the opening of Echelon I Paper Writing Selection process, held at the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) UIN Jakarta, Wednesday (05/05/2021).

“There should be no corruption, collusion and nepotism in this activity. The selection process must be objective, transparent and accountable,” said Nizar.

According to Nizar, the paper writing test is an integral part of the open selection process for Echelon I officials in the Indonesian Ministry of Religious Affairs. Its purpose is to assess the applicant's technical competence.

Nizar also hope that this selection process can produce high integrity officials, competent, professional, and responsible.

Meanwhile, the Rector of UIN Jakarta Amany Lubis also hopes that the vacant positions at the Ministry of Religious Affairs will be filled with strong and responsible figures.

“Hopefully this selection process will produce responsible and professional officials,” said Rector.

For information, there are five Echelon I positions available, namely the Director General of Haj and Umrah, Expert Staff for Religious Institutional Relations, Head of Halal Product Guarantee Administration, Expert Staff for Communication and Information Management, and Expert Staff for Law and Human Rights.
