Next Week, Career Center will held Career Compass Expo for Young Generation
Rectorate Building, UIN News Online - Career Center of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta has scheduled Career Compass Expo 2024 on Monday, 9 December 2024, with two main programs, namely Career Preparation seminar and Job Fair. This event will be conducted to support students and graduates in preparing themselves to face the challenges of the working world.
Head of UIN Jakarta Career Center, M. Kholis Hamdy, in his official statement at the Rectorate Building, Friday (6/12/2024), revealed that Career Compass Expo 2024 will be held at the Student Center Hall from 08.00 WIB to 13.00 WIB. The Rector of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, Prof. Asep Saepudin Jahar, M.A., Ph.D., is scheduled to open the seminar.
“This is a series of Career Center activity programs designed to support students and fresh graduates to prepare themselves to face the challenges of the employment world,” he explained.
The activity itself will be filled with two main programs, namely Career Preparation Seminar and Job Fair. The career seminar is filled with presentations from a number of speakers related to the preparation of graduates in facing the workplace.
“This seminar will be held to provide insights needed by students and alumni to prepare for their professional careers,” he said.
The career seminar itself will discuss two interesting topics. First, Understanding Workplace Culture: Adapting, Thriving, and Building the Right Mindset. Second, Getting to Know the Industry and Opportunities in Emerging Sectors.
A number of speakers are scheduled to fill the seminar. Among them were Muchamad Yusuf, S.T., M.Si. (Head of the Labor Market Center), Erma Yutrianingsih, S.Hum. (Business Development at Jellyfish Indonesia), and Widya Agsari, S.T., M.Sc. (First Expert Job Introduction at the Labor Market Center).
On the same day, the Job Fair will be scheduled to take place at the Harun Nasution Auditorium at 17.00 WIB. More than 100 job opportunities from various leading companies, such as CIMB Niaga, Kariermu, MAXY Academy, PT Fabindo Sejahtera, PT Swapro Internasional, Jellyfish Caregiver, BFI Finance, and other companies.
In addition, the event will also be filled with various other activities. Among them are blood donations, photo booths, job market services, and health checks.
The lecturer of the Faculty of Da'wah and Communication Sciences hopes that the Career Compass Expo 2024 can run effectively so that it can be beneficial for the participants. “We present this event as a means to help students get to know the work environment in depth and prepare steps towards their professional careers,” he said.
