New Students of SPs UIN Jakarta Participate in Orientation Day

SPs, UIN News Online – New students who passed the selection test are participating the Student Orientation and Academic Studies, Monday, (02/19/2018). The orientation day is followed by 56 participants and opened by the Rector of UIN Jakarta Prof Dr Dede Rosyada MA. Also present in the event, Director of SPs UIN Jakarta Prof Dr Masykuri Abdillah, Head of Doctoral Department SPs UIN Jakarta Prof Dr Didin Saepuddin, and Head of Master’s Department SPs UIN Jakarta Dr JM Muslimin.

According to Didin Saepuddin, new students must first understand the academic culture in SPs UIN Jakarta in order to adept to the campus environment, whether associated with student administration services, lecture systems and methods, scientific writing and access to international journals, learning service facilities, and research library services.

“Through this orientation period, the new students are expected to know what their rights and obligations during their study time," he said.

Orientation process conducted in SPs UIN Jakarta itself is familial. There is no distance between students and adviser, so they will quickly get to know each other.

The new students are warmly welcomed by Director of SPs, their presence seems to be a special guest at every beginning of the semester

“We would like to welcome the new students of SPs UIN Jakarta. Hopefully they can become professional and reliable scholars for the community,” he said.

Besides presented in the form class, student orientation materials also introduce various facilities provided by the campus, such as research library, administrative room, and quiet room. (usa)
