New Student Candidate of UIN Jakarta Continues to Increase

Diorama Room, UIN News Online – “As in previous years, UIN Jakarta implemented 6 enrollment systems, both initiated by UIN Jakarta itself or by involving Kemenristekdikti or Kemenag. Among them are Independent Enrollment (UM), Joint Enrollment for Higher Education Entrance (SBMPTN), Enrollment   for   Islamic   Higher   Education   Entrance (UM PTKIN), Academic Achievement Tracing for Islamic Higher Education Entrance (SPAN PTKIN), SPAN SNMPTN, and Other enrollment types in collaboration with external institutions.”

It was conveyed by the Rector of UIN Jakarta Prof Dr Dede Rosyada MA while delivering a report in the 11^th Senate Plenary Meeting, Monday, (2/6) in diorama room.

Also present in the meeting, the vice rectors, bureau chiefs, institutional heads and several invited guests. This meeting was also attended by the head of UIN Jakarta senate, deputy senate as well as the member of UIN Jakarta senate.

In his presentation, Dede said that the quantity of new student applicants is continued to increase significantly.

“By seeing the people interest to continue their study in UIN Jakarta, it will not reduce the passing grade to get in and became a student of UIN Jakarta,” said Dede.

He also added that the new admission committee of UIN Jakarta remains concerned about the quality of academic or non academic of the new student candidate, their school track records, and the new admissions guidelines that applies nationally.

For information, the new admissions in UIN Jakarta continue to increase each year. In 2014 and 2015, UIN Jakarta has 91574 and 107393 applicants, in this 2016, UIN Jakarta has 127244 applicants. (rs)
