Muhammad Rifki Wins First Place in Cipta Cerpen & Third Place in Poetry Competition

FDI, UIN News Online – Students of the Faculty of Dirasat Islamiyah (FDI) UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta participated in a literary competition. Muhammad Rifki (3rd semester FDI S1 student) bought two achievements in the two writing competitions, short stories and poetry writing.

For Riki this became his third achievement in 2018, having previously won second place in the writing competition for the play at the University of Indonesia (UI), Depok. And in the competition organized by the Lingkar Pena (FLP) and Literature Lovers Forum (KPS) Ciputat Branch in commemoration of Indonesian Poetry Day (HPI) Volume II, Rifki won first place in the Short Story Copy category and won three Cipta Puisi, (29 / 9/2018).

The HPI Volume II literary writing competition was attended by participants from various regions of Indonesia, for 95 Poetry Contest Contestants, and 39 Short Story Contest Contestants. Rifki wrote a short story entitled "Life Agreement" and wrote a poem entitled "We are like August".

For Rifki himself, a literary competition like this was not the first one he followed. His works in the form of short stories and poetry often won competitions and were published in the media, where in the previous year he also represented UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta to attend the Padang Panjang Southeast Asia Poet Meeting 2018.

According to him, "FDI students are undoubtedly great in debating (Arabic). But FDI is not limited to debating, FDI students are also able to compete in the realm of literature," he said. (usa-rs)
