MORA encourages the transformation of PTKN BLU to PTN BH

Surabaya, UIN News Online – In order to optimize and strengthen the budget, the Indonesian Ministry of Religious Affairs (MORA) encourages all state religious universities (PTKN) to transform into Public Service Agency State Islamic Universities (BLU) and Legal Entity State Islamic Universites (PTN BH).

This was said by the Secretary General of MORA Nizar Ali during MORA’s national working meeting in Surabaya, Tuesday (02/15/2022).

According to Nizar, the government is currently revising the National Education System Law (UU Sisdiknas) Number 20 of 2023. One of the important points of the revision of the law is the encouragement of all state universities (PTNs) to to transform into legal entity state universities.

Until now, said Nizar, a number of PTNs have transformed into PTN BH. Meanwhile, there is only one PTKIN that will transform into a PTN BH, namely UIN Jakarta. Therefore, Nizar requested that all PTKIN immediately prepare to transform into PTN BLU and then PTN BH.

“The transformation of PTKN to PTN BLU and PTN BH is highly expected to optimize and achieve PTKN budget targets,” he said.

Nizar also mentioned the matter of the realization of budget absorption within the MORA, including its work units (satker). According to Nizar, the MORA and its work units (satker), seeks to optimize the achievement of budget absorption until September 2022 by 90 percent.

“If the realization of the budget is less than 5 percent by the third quarter of 2002, then the budget for the Ministry of Religion in the work unit will be blocked by 25 percent,” said Nizar.

The MORAs National Working Meeting was held on February 13-15, 2022 and opened by the Indonesian Minister of Religious Affairs Yaqut Cholil Qoumas. (ns/usa)
