Ministry of Social Affairs Donates IDR 100 Million to UIN Jakarta

Main Auditorium, UIN News Online – The Ministry of Social Affairs (Kemensos) donated Rp 100 million to UIN Jakarta. The assistance was given as a form of Kemensos commitment on advancing the education in Indonesia.

The donation was given directly by Minister of Social Idrus Marham to UIN Jakarta Rector Dede Rosyada during KKN 2018 send-off ceremony, Tuesday (07/17/2018), at Harun Nasution Main Auditorium, campus I of UIN Jakarta.

Present in the event, Director General of Social Empowerment Pepen Nazaruddin, Head of Education, Research and Social Extension Agency Harry Soeratin, Vice Chairman of Commission VIII DPR RI Tubagus Ace Hasan Syadzily. Also present in the event, Vice Rector for Academic Affairs Fadhillah Suralaga, Vice Rector for General Administration Abdul Hamid, LP2M Chairman Alimun Hanif, and PPM Chairman Djaka Badranaya.

“The amount of donations that we provide is too small to make a difference, but I ordered the Director General (Social Empowerment Director Pepen Nazaruddin, Red) to provide more donation," said Social Minister Idrus Marham when giving briefing to the KKN participants.

In addition, he also requested to the House of Representatives Commission VIII to provide more budget for the Kemensos. "I ask that Commission VIII increase the Ministry of Social Affairs budget, so in the future, we can provide more donation to UIN Jakarta," said Minister of Social Affairs while looking at Ace Hasan Syadzily.

For information, KKN activities will last for approximately 30 days on July 20 to August 23, 2018 and participated by 3,834 participants spread in two districts, namely Bogor, West Java and Tangerang, Banten. (usa)
