Ministry of Religious Affairs and UIN Jakarta held Hakordia Festival 2024 to Build Joint Commitment of Eradicating Corruption

Harun Nasution Auditorium, UIN News Online - UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta in collaboration with the Ministry of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia (Kemenag RI) held the Hakordia 2024 Festival to commemorate World Anti-Corruption Day. The event was enlivened with various performances, including choirs, bands, hadroh, and attended by a number of important figures at the Harun Nasution Auditorium.

The event was also attended by the governor of the National Resilience Institute (Lemhannas) RI, Dr. H. TB Ace Hasan Syadzily, M.Si., the Rector of UIN Jakarta, Prof. Asep Saepudin Jahar, M.A., Ph.D., the Vice Rectors, the Head of the Ministry of Religious Affairs Bureau, and the Academic Community of UIN Jakarta.

Joint Commitment to Eradicate Corruption

Head of Communication Strategy and Institutional Relations, Moh Khoeron, representing the Secretary General of the Ministry of Religious Affairs, Prof. Dr. H. M. Ali Ramdhani, in his speech conveyed the importance of the Hakordia Festival as a concrete step in increasing the commitment to eradicate corruption in the academic and government environment.

"The Hakordia Festival is one of the steps to increase commitment of corruption eradication. Minister Nasarudin Umar has initiated six main principles that underlie corruption eradication efforts. We hope that this event can open the insights and awareness of the younger generation to participate in the fight against corruption," he explained.

Inspirational Talkshow: The Minister of Religious Affairs' Ideas for Combating Corruption

The core event of the Hakordia Festival was a talk show entitled The Minister of Religion's Ideas for Corruption Eradication, which was moderated by the Public Relations Officer of the Ministry of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia (Kemenag RI), Dodo Murtado. This talk show presented two main speakers, namely the Rector of UIN Jakarta, Prof. Asep Saepudin Jahar, M.A., Ph.D., and the Governor of the National Institute of Resilience (Lemhannas), as well as the Chairman of the UIN Jakarta Alumni Association (IKALUIN), Dr. H. TB Ace Hasan Syadzily, M.Si.

Prof. Asep in his presentation emphasized the importance of implementing the six ideas of the Minister of Religious Affairs related to “Clean Government”. Prof. Asep stated, "UIN as a PTKIN under the supervision of the Ministry of Religious Affairs, is obliged to embed in our mindset that corruption is our common enemy," he said.

"We must also utilize digital technology as an effective tool to prevent the practice of corruption that harms the state," he said. In addition, he also emphasized the importance of utilizing digital technology as an effective corruption eradication tool, because corruption has a serious impact on the country's economy.

The Governor of Lemhannas, Dr. H. TB Ace Hasan Syadzily, M.Si highlighted the importance of integrity among leaders. He quoted the statement of the President of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, "The first part of the fish that begins to rotten is the head, so the eradication of corruption must begin from leaders with high integrity," he said.

Furthermore, Ace explained that Lemhannas has a great responsibility in producing national and international leaders with integrity.

The Hakordia 2024 Festival is expected to be an important momentum to mobilize the younger generation in eradicating corruption. The event is expected to have a real and sustainable positive impact on the participants, and bring significant changes in anti-corruption practices in Indonesia.
