Ministry of Public Works and Housing to Build UIN Jakarta’s New Dormitory Building

Jakarta, UIN NEWS Online— UIN Jakarta managed to get commitment support from the Ministry of Public Works and Housing (PUPR) to realize the construction of student dormitory building. The construction of the dormitory building is planned to begin next April.

Commitment of support is obtained after the Rector of UIN Jakarta Prof. Dr. Dede Rosyada MA met with the Director General of Housing Provision of the Ministry of PUPR Khalawi Abdul Hamid. Alongside the rector, Vice Rector for Cooperation Prof. Dr. Murodi MA, AUK Bureau Chief Dr Urip Rudi Subiantoro M.Pd, General Affairs Division Head Drs. Encep Dimyati MA also attended the meeting.

"Alhamdulillah, through the meeting, UIN Jakarta managed to get help support from the Ministry of PUPR, building student dormitory building. Insya Allah, the new dormitory will be built on April 2018," said Murodi to NEWS UIN Online, Friday (03/09/2018).

Murodi also added that the dormitory will be located just in front of Jalan Kertamukti, Pisangan, East Ciputat, or opposite the Faculty of Medicine Building and Faculty of Health Sciences UIN Jakarta. "The amount of one building they will build, on campus 2 land which recently released," he added.

Previously, the Rector on several occasions revealed the commitment of UIN Jakarta to build student dormitories. Besides local students, this dormitory will be functioned as the accommodation for international students who study at UIN Jakarta. (usa)
