MAN 1 Payakumbuh Visits UIN Jakarta, Explores the World of Campus Life
Diorama Room, UIN News Online – MAN 1 Payakumbuh conducted an educational visit to Syarif Hidayatullah State Islamic University (UIN Jakarta), held at the Diorama Room on Thursday (May 8, 2025). The visit aimed to introduce students to the world of higher education and gather information about programs, facilities, and study opportunities at UIN Jakarta.
The event began with a welcome speech from the Head of MAN 1 Payakumbuh, H. Muhammad Suhardi, S.Pd.I., M.Pd., who expressed his hopes that the students would make the most of this visit. “I hope our students can continue their education at this campus. Take this opportunity today to gather as much information as possible about UIN Jakarta. The students present are representatives from grades 10 and 11,” he said.
In a warm response, the Head of the UIN Jakarta Information and Public Relations Center (PIH), Zaenal Muttaqin, S.Th.I., M.A., highlighted the importance of motivation and inspiration from UIN Jakarta alumni from West Sumatra. “Many UIN Jakarta alumni from West Sumatra have become successful and achieved excellence in various fields. UIN exists in several regions, but UIN Jakarta offers complete facilities that greatly support students,” he explained.
During the same event, UIN Jakarta’s PIH Staff, Taufan Maulana, encouraged students to be active in asking questions and engaging in discussions. “Use this opportunity to gather as much information as possible. UIN Jakarta is very open to educational visits like this. If any internal activities coincide, we will suggest rescheduling options,” he said.
The event continued with a presentation by UIN Jakarta Ambassador, Dzikri Ardan, who discussed the campus’s various advantages, including the diversity of faculties and study programs, the Single Tuition Fee (UKT) system, scholarships, and student activity units (UKMs) that support the development of students’ interests and talents.
The Q&A session was interactive. One student, Kenzie, inquired about the career prospects of the International Relations Program she was interested in. The question was answered by Taufan Maulana, who explained that each program offers a wide range of career opportunities, depending on how students prepare themselves and build their networks.
The event concluded with the exchange of souvenirs, followed by a group photo, marking the end of the educational visit.
