M Nur Rianto Al Arif embraced his professorship at the age of 38
Rectorate, UIN News Online – Muhammad Nur Rianto Al Arif, lecturer at the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) UIN Jakarta, was appointed as a professor in the Open Senate Session at the Harun Nasution Auditorium, Wednesday (12/16/2020). He is one of the youngest professors at UIN Jakarta.
In his inauguration, he deliver a scientific oration entitled "Pemisahan, Merger, Akuisisi, dan Konversi: Kebijakan Alternatif Terbaik bagi Industri Perbankan Syariah" in front of the Rector of UIN Jakarta Amany Lubis and the University Senate members.
Based on UIN News Online records, Nur Rianto is the third youngest professor in the history UIN Jakarta. Other academics who obtained professorship at a young age are Fathurahman Djamil (professor of the Faculty of Sharia and Law) and Ahmad Rodoni (professor of the Faculty of Economics and Business).
Fathurrahman Djamil was born on November 7, 1960. He obtained a professorship when he was 40 years and 1 month old. Meanwhile, Ahmad Rodoni was born on February 3, 1969 and holds a professorship when he was 37 years and 9 months old.
Nur Rianto was born on October 13, 1981 and became a professor at the age of 38 years and 4 months. The man who was born in Pekanbaru, Riau, obtained a functional position as professor in the field of Islamic Economics based on the Decree of the Minister of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia Number 35119 / MPK / KP / 2020 dated March 11, 2020.
Muhammad Nur Rianto Al Arif studied S1 in Development Economics at Diponegoro University Semarang and a Masters in Sharia Economics and Finance at the University of Indonesia. Meanwhile, he took his doctoral education in the field of Economics at the University of Indonesia.
At UIN Jakarta, Nur Rianto started his career by becoming the Secretary of the Islamic Economic and Financial Institution at the Faculty of Sharia and Law (2010-2011). After that, he also served as Secretary of the Sharia Economics Master’s Program, Faculty of Sharia and Law (2013-2014), Program Coordinator at the Center for Business Development (2014), and Internal Audit Coordinator at FEB (2014-2015), FEB Journal Coordinator (2015-present), Member of Publication and Journal Acceleration Team of the Institute for Research and Community Service (2016), Secretary of the FEB Sharia Banking Doctoral Study Program (2018) and Department Head of Sharia Economics undergraduate program (2018-2019). Currently, he serves as a Vice Dean of Student Affairs, Alumni, and Cooperation at FEB UIN Jakarta.
In addition, he is also active in writing textbooks and scientific journals, both published nationally and internationally. His published books include Manajemen Risiko Perbankan Syariah: Suatu Pengantar (published by Pustaka Setia, 2017), Pemasaran Strategik Pada Asuransi Syariah (penerbit Gramata, 2015), Pengantar Ekonomi Syariah: Teori dan Praktik (published by Pustaka Setia, 2015), Matematika Terapan dalam Ekonomi (published by Pustaka Setia, 2013), Potret Pendidikan Ekonomi Islam di Indonesia (published by Gramata, 2012), Lembaga Keuangan Syariah (published by Pustaka Setia, 2012), and Dasar-dasar Ekonomi Islam (published by Era Intermedia, 2011).
