LPM INSTITUT holds copywriting and content training workshop for students

Rectorate, UIN News Online – In the midst of the rapid development of technology, creative industry players such as copywriters must be able to produce interesting content on social media. Therefore, a variety of creative content is now constantly popping up to decorate the virtual world.

To answer this challenge, the Student Press Institute (LPM) INSTITUT UIN Jakarta held an online “Copywriting” and “Contentwriting” training. The training materials were filled by experienced social media creators, including Indonesian Business Content Manager Dika Irawan and Era.id Editor Khalisotussurur.

“This training aims to provide skills for students to develop ideas and imagination in creating creative content on social media,” said Hany Fatihah, the Organizing Committee Chairwoman to UIN NEWS Online at the Rectorate Building, Wednesday (01/09/2021).

On the first day of training, material was delivered by Khalisotussurur. He discusses basic knowledge related to the structure and stages of copywriting. Copywriting can be regarded as a form of communication by a copywriter to influence others to take certain actions.

To start copywriting, she said, a copywriter needs to recognize several aspects, such as products, reader needs, and reader solutions.

“A copywriter needs to start with in-depth research. This is to find out the needs of readers,” she said.

In addition to copywriting, a copywriter must also pay attention to Search Engine Optimization (SEO) consistently to include key words in important paragraphs. “This is to simplify the search process on Google,” she added.

Meanwhile, Dika Irawan, who provide the learning material on the second day, said that in writing, ideas are one of the keys to the success of a content. Dika added that writing skill is important, especially as a student. By writing, students have the skills to express their ideas into writing.

As a writer, according to Dika, you need continuous effort to get and deliver information in a more attractive style to provide more value.

“Writing is not only informative, but also able to find and develop interesting points of view in the form of presentation,” said Dika. (usa/ns)
