Liven up the 27th Anniversary, DEMA FIDK Held Book Review
Main Auditorium, UIN News Online -The Student Executive Council (DEMA) UIN Jakarta Faculty of Da’wa and Communication Sciences (FIDK) held FIDKOM 27th anniversary series on Wednesday (01/11), at Harun Nasution Auditorium UIN Jakarta. The series of activities marked on book review Sandi Komunikasi Korupsi written by one of FIDK alumni Sabir Laluhu.
The event started at 08.00-15.00 WIB and attended by the Head of FIDK Laboratory, Mr. Ade Masturi MA, Director General of Education and Public Service KPK RI Erlangga MSi, DEMA Board and HMJ FIDK UIN Jakarta, and students and invited guests.
In his speech representing the Dean of FIDK, Ade Masturi MA explained that the contribution of campus as center of civilization and the alumni in combating against corruption was vital and need to be mutual integrity.
"Learning to eradicate corruption can be started from the campus, for example in HMJ or DEMA report. It is intended to make the alumni not accustomed to do corruption acts at the time they serve into the community, "he said.
In the same place, Erlangga explained of corruption according to positive law (Law No. 31 of 1999 Law No. 20 of 2001 on Eradication of Corruption), is the act of every person both government and private who violate the law to enrich themselves or others or corporation that could harm the state finances.
"The causes of corruption vary and many experts classify the causes of corruption," he said.
Still according to Erlangga, he took the example in 2006, the state suffered losses due to acts of corruption, especially in the SOE sector so as to reach a surprising figure of Rp 161 trillion. This figure has accelerated quite quickly because previously in 2005 that is Rp 125 trillion (ICW data 2006).
"The crime of corruption also put Indonesia in the position of 134 out of 163 countries (ordered from the cleanest country to the most corrupt countries) and TI Perception Index Indonesia 2.4. Corruption has spread in almost all levels of society and seems to have become a culture of Indonesian society. Thus, it is not surprising that the country often suffered significant financial losses, "he explained.
Chairman of DEMA FIDK, M Nabil told UIN NEWS Online that the book review was one of the series of 27th anniversaries activities, which brought the theme of Campus and Alumni Contribution in Combating against Corruption.
"We also cooperate with various parties for the implementation of this activity. Alhamdulillah, the event runs well and the participants are very enthusiastic, " Nabil said.
For information, the book of Metamorphosis Sandi Komunikasi Korupsi by Sabir Laluhu, presented several expert speakers, including Prof. Andi Faisal Bakti Ph D (Professor of Communication Science UIN Jakarta), Najwa Shihab (Indonesian Reading Ambassador), Muhammad Isnur (Advocate and Public Defender LBH Jakarta), and Former Chairman of KPK Abraham Samad.
