LiSEnSi FEB Wins the FoSSEI Regional Meeting Competition

Ciputat, UIN News Online – Islamic Economics Study Circle (LiSEnSi) of the economics and business faculty UIN Jakarta managed to win a number of competitions which were held at the Jabodetabek Islamic Economic Study Regional Meeting (FoSSEI) 2019. This achievement is expected to increase the enthusiasm of the students of Islamic economic activists in UIN Jakarta.

This was conveyed by the Dean of FEB UIN Jakarta Amilin to UIN News Online in his office, Thursday (04/04/2019). “Alhamdulillah, the LiSEnSi students started this year with a proud achievement,” said Amilin.

According to Amilin, they managed to win the creative video-making contest about the advantages of Sharia economic. They managed to win the competition after competing with dozens of sharia economic creative videos from 32 Islamic Economic Study Groups (KSEI) who participated in the competition.

“They also came out as the third winner in the Islamic Economic Debate competition,” he added.

For information, there were six competition branches contested in this event; Islamic economic writing, Islamic economic olympiad, Islamic Economic Debate, Inspirational Muslimah Story, Creative Video, and Poster Design.

In addition to various competitions, this event was also filled with a national seminar themed "Optimization of Waqf and Sociopreneur in Developing Halal Industry in the Era 4.0", Wednesday (03/27/2019). This seminar invites Ahmad Juwaini (National Islamic Finance Committee / KNKS), Dr. Bambang Himawan (head of the BI Sharia Economic and Finance Division), Riyanto Sofyan MBA (chairman of the Halal Tourism Development Acceleration Team, Indonesian Ministry of Tourism), and Irwan Abdalloh SE, MM (Chair of the IDX Sharia Capital Market Division) as resource person.

Furthermore, Amilin added, the faculty would also send students of Islamic economic activists to participate in the National FoSSEI Islamic Economic Olympiad on Friday-Tuesday, April 12-16 2019 which will be held at Universitas Airlangga, Surabaya, East Java.

“This is one of our efforts in encouraging them as strong prospective sharia economists and practitioners from UIN Jakarta,” he said. (usa)
