Libya plan to send its student to pursue their higher education at UIN Jakarta
Rectorate, UIN News Online – The Libyan government plan to send its student to pursue their higher education at UIN Jakarta this year.
This was said by the Rector of UIN Jakarta Amany Lubis to UIN News Online in her office after receiving the delegation from the Libyan Embassy to Indonesia Walid El Mousi on Tuesday (03/09/2021). The visit, which lasted one and a half hours, was filled with dialogue on various educational collaboration which can enrich the academic climate for both countries.
“They expressed their interest in sending their students to study at UIN Jakarta. It's just that I told them to prepare for registration according to the new admission schedule our campus,” she said.
Reactor Amany also requested that Libyan students to comply with various rules and regulations that apply at UIN Jakarta as one of the state universities in Indonesia. One of them is the obligation is the obligation to attend Indonesian language courses for several months at the Center for Language Development (PPB) of UIN Jakarta. “This also applies to all international students studying at UIN Jakarta,” said Rector.
The Chancellor also explained that the visit of the Libyan embassy delegation emphasized the stabilization of the country's socio-political conditions. As an important partner country of Indonesia, UIN Jakarta itself is very open to admitting students from Libya as long as they meet the academic requirements.
“UIN Jakarta is very widely open for students and communities from various countries. In addition to studying in undergraduate programs, they can also continue their studies at the master's and doctoral levels in various study programs,” she said.
Separately, Walid El Mousi expressed his appreciation towards UIN Jakarta and hoped that his visit would strengthen the good relations between the two countries “I really appreciate the UIN Jakarta as a higher education institution that offers both Islamic and secular science education. Hopefully, we can realize this programs as soon as possible,” he hoped. (usa)
