Leaderships of UIN Jakarta and Members of DPD Banten Visits Cikuya Campus

Cikuya, UIN News Online – Rector of UIN Jakarta Amany Lubis held a meeting with members of the Regional Representative Council (DPD) Banten Province at Cikuya, Solear, Tangerang on Friday (08/05/2022).

The meeting was attended by the Vice Rectors, Deans, Bureau Heads, Heads of institutes. While the DPD Banten members who were present included Habib Ali Alwi, Abdi Sumaithi, and Ali Ridho Azhary.

Rector Amany Lubis said that the land of UIN Jakarta in Cikuya had been partially used, especially for the Agribusiness Study Program practicum activities.

Amany explained that the land in Cikuya has an area of 42 hectares. Of the area, approximately 27 hectares of which have been certified and the rest are not certified. Since 2019, the land in Cikuya also has a spatial plan that regulates the location of public and social facilities according to their function.

According to the plan, several new buildings will be built in Cikuya, including the Faculty of Agriculture, Student Center, dormitories for 7,000 students, and an educational garden that can be used by the public. However, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the construction has been delayed.

“Because a lot of the budget was allocated for handling and preventing Covid-19, the construction of campus facilities in Cikuya was delayed,” she said Amany.

in response, DPD member Habib Ali Alwi hopes that UIN Jakarta can soon build a campus building in Cikuya. He promised that the DPD Banten will assist UIN Jakarta in developing the land in Cikuya.

“We are committed to assisting the implementation of land development in Cikuya,” said Alwi. (ns/es/usa)
