LDK Shahid Slaughter 20 Sacrificial Animals in Scavenger Village

Ciputat, UIN News Online – Campus Da'wah Institute (LDK) Syahid UIN Jakarta carried out the slaughter and distribution of sacrificial animals in Pemulung (scavenger) Village, Ciputat, South Tangerang, Monday (07/11/2022). A total of 20 sacrificial animals were slaughtered and distributed to the community.

The slaughter of the sacrificial animals begins at 09.00 WIB. Before carrying out the slaughter, the committee first performed the Dhuha prayer in congregation and continued with the slaughtering and packaging of the sacrificial animals.

The chair of organizing committee Henry Saputra said that LDK Syahid carried out sacrifices every year in Scavenger Village. Funding is obtained from donors and the qurbani-savings from the members of LDK Syahid . The sacrificial meat distributed to the community consists of 19 goats and one cow weighing 250 kilograms.

“Cow were obtained from the qurbani savings and 19 goats from donors,” he said.

The distribution of sacrificial meat is carried out using a coupon system. 170 coupons have been distributed to the community, especially to scavengers in the village.

Henry also added that the distribution of sacrificial meat was carried out evenly according to the population data provided to the committee.

“Alhamdulillah, we are grateful that this year LDK Syahid can organize the slaughter and distribution of sacrificial animals to the community. May Allah SWT bless the donors who entrust their sacrificial animals to us,” he said. (ns/es/usa)
