KSR UIN Jakarta routinely holds blood donation event

Rectorate, UIN News Online – Indonesian Red Cross Voluntarily Corp (KSR) of UIN Jakarta in collaboration with UDD PMI Tangerang City, will hold social activities twice a month, in the form of blood donation event, which will be held on Tuesday (09/10/2019) ) and Wednesday (09/25/2019), at the Student Center Hall, campus I of UIN Jakarta.

From a press release received by UIN NEWS Online, Friday (09/06/2019), it was written that this blood donor social activity program is primary work program of the KSR that must be carried out either independently or in collaboration with other agencies.

Still from the same source, that the target of donors during one period of the KSR PMI Jakarta 2019 was 1000 blood bags, but until now only 344 bags have been collected. Therefore, in the blood donor activity, it always cooperates with the Tangerang City Blood Donation Unit (UDD).

One of the KSR member, Aulia, told UIN News Online that there are several requirements to participate in this event, among them are, donors must reach 17-60 years old, healthy, 5-6 hours of sleep, during the last six months without treatment or surgery, not taking any prescription in the last three days, a minimum weight of 45 kg, and not menstruating for women.

“We all understand that blood donors have many benefits, including accelerating the regeneration of red blood cells in the body, preventing cancer, etc,” she said.
