KREXPO 2025: UIN Jakarta Students Promote Qur'anic Teachings in Competition

Jakarta, UIN Online News — UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta conducted a Qur'an Recitation (MTQ) competition as part of the "Student Creativity, Sports, and Innovation Festival" (KREXPO 2025) at the Prof. MK. Tadjudin Auditorium, Faculty of Medicine, on Wednesday (August 20, 2025).

The event was attended by the panel of judges, comprising Ustadz H. Dasrizal M. Nainin, S.S.I., M.I.S.; Ustadzah Isti'anah Wachid, S.Ag., M.A.; Ustadz Dr. Hasani Ahmad Said, S.Th.I., M.A., CDAI; and the Head of the General Administration and Personnel Bureau of UIN Jakarta, Dr. H. Nanang Fatchurochman, S.H., M.Pd., along with the academic community of UIN Jakarta and participants from within the institution.

In her introduction, Dr. Siti Umi Masuroh, Secretary of the UIN Jakarta Anniversary, elucidated that this MTQ is a component of the KREXPO series.

"The UIN Jakarta 2025 Anniversary celebration will culminate in this MTQ, serving as the final event for all competitions involving lecturers, educational staff, and students," she opened.

Nanang Fatchurochman similarly underscored that the MTQ transcends mere Quranic recitation; its values and teachings must be integrated throughout everyday life.

"Participants are expected to embody the values of the Quran through ethical conduct, counsel, and tangible contributions to society, enabling them to subsequently emerge as national leaders who consistently follow the guidance of Allah," he urged.

The event proceeded with explanation from one of the jury, Ust. Dasrizal, who selected the judgment mechanism categorized into three primary areas.

  1. The articulatory aspect (30%), which includes the precision of letter articulation and associated attributes, was evaluated by Dr. Isyana Wahid.

  2. Fasahah (30%) encompasses the precision of waqf, ibtida', and the appropriateness of readings that preserve their meaning, evaluated by Dr. Hasani Ahmad Said.

  3. The prosodic component (40%), which encompasses vocal quality and variations of stress, was evaluated by Ust. Dasrizal.

These participants exhibited confidence, delivering their finest recitations with harmonious voices and precise pronunciation, filling the room with a quiet yet soundful ambiance, as if they were absorbed in the grandeur of His resonating words.

Finally, upon close inspection and measures, the jury panel identified the victors of the KREXPO MTQ 2025 based on the highest score as follows:

  2. Muhammad Fahmi Labib from the Faculty of Sharia and Law (92.5)

  3. Muhammad Hanif Nur Rahman from the Faculty of Ushuluddin (92)

 Female Category

  1. Dzakiratun Shalihah from the Faculty of Education and Teacher Training (95)

  2. Laila Rizki Amalia from the Faculty of Education and Teacher Training (92)

  3. Mifta Honiatul Habibah from the Faculty of Economics and Business (89)

This event transcends mere competition; it functions as a forum to foster UIN Jakarta students' affection for the Quran and serves as a concrete manifestation of affection for the Quran and revitalizes the spirit of young Muslims.

It is anticipated that all participants would persist in inspiring others and utilize this competition as a catalyst for making a substantial contribution to the establishment of a Qur'anic and virtuous national civilization.
