Main Auditorium, UIN News Online –UIN Jakarta hosted an energizing motivational talk as part of the Introduction to Academic and Campus Culture (PBAK) event on Tuesday (08/27/2024). The session, held at the Harun Nasution Auditorium, featured Jovial Da Lopez, a well-known content creator and Chief Narrative Officer at Narasi TV, who delivered a powerful message to the new students.

The first day of the second session of PBAK welcomed 1,261 new students from the Faculty of Sharia and Law (FSH) and the Faculty of Medicine (FK). Jovial’s talk focused on the multifaceted nature of freedom and the need for independence. He encouraged students to step out of their comfort zones and embrace the campus’s diverse environment. "University life isn’t just about studying; it’s about building a network. Interaction is fundamental for networking," he advised.

Jovial urged the students to be bold in exploring new opportunities and discovering their own potential. “Our lives should not be about imitating others. Listen to yourself and act on it without being overly concerned about others’ opinions,” he stressed.

He also emphasized the value of being a well-rounded student. By engaging in various activities, students can uncover their true interests and talents. “What isn’t meant for us will naturally fall away,” Jovial added.

Sharing his personal journey, Jovial highlighted the pivotal role his mother has played in his success, noting her continued dedication at the age of 69. He also credited his father’s dreams as a driving force behind his achievements.

The talk aimed to inspire and motivate the new students, encouraging them to fully engage in their studies and forge meaningful connections. The goal is for the freshmen to approach their campus life with enthusiasm and inspiration.
