Johnny Gerald Plate delivers his speech at UIN Jakarta

Main Auditorium, UIN News Online – Indonesian Communication and Information Minister Johnny Gerald Plate  his speech at the Harun Nasution Main Auditorium, campus I of UIN Jakarta, Wednesday (03/11/2020). Present in the event, Rector of UIN Jakarta Amany Lubis, Vice Rector for General Administration Ahmad Rodoni, AAKK bureau chief Khoiruddin, Head of LP2M Jajang Jahroni, and the Head of PPM UIN Jakarta Kamarusdiana.

In his speech, Johnny invited students to become literate in digital technology. According to Johnny, the development of the digital technology continues to grow rapidly. “Due to the rapid pace of technological advancement, countries that harness digital technologies stand to reap significant economic benefits in the long run,” he said.

He also revealed that the Ministry of Communication and Information is currently preparing three programs. First, the Digital Literacy National Movement program aimed at the general public. This program includes basic training in digital skills. Second, the Digital Talent Scholarship program, which provides education for students and college graduates to become technician workers in the digital technology field.

“Third, we also prepare the Digital Leadership Academy program, which provides education for the public and private sectors officials, including lecturers and department heads, to improve their digital skills and capabilities,” he said.
