IPPBMM VIII 2021 Yogyakarta is officially finished, UIN Jakarta came out as runner up
Yogyakarta, UIN News Online – The IPPBMM VIII at UIN Yogyakarta was officially closed on Thursday (06/24/2021) tonight. A total of 16 medals were brought home by the UIN Jakarta’s contingent.
The UIN Jakarta contingent managed to collect 16 medals (7 gold, 4 silver, 5 bronze). While the overall champion was UIN Yogyakarta with 14 gold, 14 silver, 4 bronze medals.
The other five major medal winners were UIN Surabaya with 13 medals (5 gold, 3 silver, 5 bronze), UIN Bandung 14 medals (4 gold, 5 silver, 5 bronze), and UIN Tulung Agung 10 medals (4 gold, 5 silver, 1 bronze).
Additional medals for UIN Jakarta on the last day of the competition were won from painted calligraphy in the form of gold, team monologue (gold), men's individual quick chess (bronze), musabaqah al-Qur'an (bronze), and script calligraphy (gold).
Painting calligraphy engraved by Herman Sawiran (student of the Ushuluddin Faculty), team monologue by Nur Qoyimah, Tito Tri Kadafi, and Ahmad Fauzi (all three from the Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training), men's individual rapid chess by Shendy Widijayakusumah (student of the Physics Study Program, Faculty of Science and Technology), musabaqah al-qur’an by Rizki Ulfahadi (student of the Qur'an and Tafsir Study Program, Faculty of Ushuluddin), and script calligraphy by Wahyu Al Hudaya (student of the Faculty of Adab and Humanities).
The IPPBMM VIII was held at UIN Yogyakarta on 21-25 June 2021 and attended by 18 contingents of state Islamic religious universities (PTKN) throughout Java and Madura. They competed in 31 competitions in the fields of sports, arts, and research. (usa/ns)
