Depok, UIN Online News — The Annual International Conference on Islam, Science, and Society (AICIS+) 2025, organized by the Ministry of Religious Affairs (Kemenag) of the Republic of Indonesia, has drawn international attention with its dynamic exhibitions and academic programs. The conference, held at Universitas Islam Internasional Indonesia (UIII) for 3 days straight (29-31/10/2025), featured participation from schools, universities, and global institutions.

International visitors to the Syarif Hidayatullah State Islamic University Jakarta booth expressed appreciation for the event’s positive impact on cultural and academic exchange. Among them were Mustafa, Ali Shaheen, Daud, and Sirajuddin Arabzada from Afghanistan.

Mustafa, one of the Afghan visitors, described his visit as both enjoyable and enlightening, particularly appreciating the clear information provided about UIN Jakarta’s academic programs, scholarships, and admission pathways.

“Today it’s very good to be here. We see different kinds of performances and exhibitions. It feels very nice. I see all the Indonesians very, very kind and very good people. Love you all,” he expressed.

Another Afghan participant, Ali Shaheen, noted that the exhibition provided helpful information about cultural diversity and creativity among institutions from different regions and backgrounds.

“So many people gathered from different places and provinces, even internationally. I can see many people and cultures here, each bringing their own ideas and creativity,” he conveyed.

Meanwhile, Daud highlighted that the event also served as a platform for introducing Afghan cuisine to the Indonesian culinary scene. For two days, he and his fellow Afghan students at UIII participated in the food festival, selling traditional Afghan dishes to promote cross-cultural understanding.
