This agreement is part of the asset management and safeguarding process for state-owned properties (BMN) under the Indonesian Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA), entrusted to UIN Jakarta.

The agreement was reached during a meeting between the leadership of the Ministry of Religious Affairs, UIN Jakarta, and the foundation boards managing the respective educational institutions. The meeting, which lasted over an hour, took place at the Operation Room, 2nd Floor of the MoRA Building, Lapangan Banteng, Jakarta, on Monday (May 5, 2025).

In a brief message, Vice Rector Imam Subchi stated that the meeting produced an agreement to integrate all educational institutions managed by the foundations into UIN Jakarta. "Alhamdulillah, today we agreed to integrate Madrasah Pembangunan, Triguna Educational Institutions, and TK Ketilang into UIN Jakarta as the owner or authorized user of the assets," he said.

Another outcome of the agreement was the appointment of Secretary General of the Ministry of Religious Affairs, Prof. Dr. Kamaruddin Amin, as the chairperson of the integration task force. He will be supported by several echelon I and II officials from the Ministry.

On April 30, 2025, UIN Jakarta undertook the safeguarding of state-owned assets under the Ministry’s authority based on Land Use Certificate No. 2 of 1988, covering Madrasah Pembangunan and TK Ketilang. These assets are located in Pisangan Subdistrict, East Ciputat District, South Tangerang City, Banten, covering 13,190 m² (Madrasah Pembangunan) and 1,000 m² (TK Ketilang).

The safeguarding was in accordance with Finance Minister Regulation No. 181/PMK.06/2016 on the Administration of State-Owned Property. This was further confirmed by the Ministry's Secretary General's letter No. 055.93/SJ/B.V/HK.04/3/2025 dated March 21, 2025, stating that UIN Jakarta must administratively safeguard the assets.

UIN Jakarta emphasized that the integration process ensures the rights of all students are fully protected. In a formal statement on May 2, 2025, the university assured that the BMN safeguarding was carried out professionally, upholding transparency and accountability, and complying with applicable laws and regulations.

It was also stressed that the safeguarding activities would not affect teaching and learning activities at Madrasah Pembangunan and TK Ketilang. All educational activities are to continue as scheduled, with all student rights fully guaranteed.

Rector Asep Jahar expressed his appreciation for the Ministry’s support and the goodwill of the foundation boards in integrating the institutions into UIN Jakarta. “This aligns with UIN Jakarta’s commitment to return state assets to proper management under lawful and accountable institutional structures,” he stated.

He reaffirmed UIN Jakarta’s commitment to ensuring continued educational services and student protection at MP, TK Ketilang, and Triguna. “All teaching and learning processes must continue as scheduled, with ongoing quality improvements,” he emphasized.

Minister Fully Supports Integration

Minister of Religious Affairs, Prof. Dr. K.H. Nasaruddin Umar, fully endorsed the integration of Madrasah Pembangunan, TK Ketilang, and SMK-SMA Triguna Utama into UIN Jakarta. According to him, state-owned assets—especially those related to education—must be protected and used optimally for the benefit of the public.

Therefore, integrating the three foundations—MP, Ketilang, and Triguna—into UIN Jakarta is considered a strategic move. “State assets must be safeguarded and their use optimized. Thus, integrating these three foundations into UIN Jakarta is the right step and must be realized promptly,” he said.

The Minister also highlighted the importance of mutual acceptance by all involved. This integration, he noted, is not merely about institutional administration, but part of a broader vision for integrated national education development—from early childhood to higher education.

“All parties should embrace and support this agreement with an open heart, as it serves the advancement of holistic and sustainable education,” he concluded. (zm)
