Integrating Islamic Education Ecosystem, UIN Jakarta Forges Strategic Admissions Pipeline With Over Thirty Sukabumi Islamic Senior High Schools
SUKABUMI, UIN Online News – Solidifying its commitment to expanding higher education access across regional districts, UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta hosted a strategic outreach and partnership summit with the Sunanul Huda Foundation and over thirty Islamic Senior High Schools (Madrasah Aliyah) across Sukabumi Regency on Tuesday, July 28, 2026.
The regional summit established a joint framework to reinforce the Islamic education ecosystem, streamline university admissions for regional graduates, and conduct capacity-building programs for high school career guidance counselors.
The assembly was led by UIN Jakarta Vice Rector for Institutional Affairs Dr. Din Wahid, Ph.D., alongside Erwan Hermawan, M.Pd., representing the Ministry of Religious Affairs Sukabumi Office, and Dr. Yeni Yuningsih, Ph.D., Secretary of the Sunanul Huda Boarding School.
Emphasizing the interconnected nature of Islamic educational institutions, Erwan Hermawan noted that state universities and regional madrasahs form a continuous talent development pipeline.
"Our academic input at UIN Jakarta originates directly from regional madrasahs and boarding schools," Hermawan explained. "We nurture this input through university education, producing skilled graduates who return to serve their local communities. Maintaining and advancing this continuous educational ecosystem is our collective responsibility."
Echoing this sentiment, Dr. Yeni Yuningsih expressed appreciation for UIN Jakarta's direct grassroots engagement, noting that the presence of central university leadership provides crucial momentum for regional institutions seeking to elevate their academic standards.
Grounded in the local Sundanese philosophy of Silih Asah, Silih Asih, Silih Asuh (mutual learning, care, and guidance), the summit brought together over 30 high school principals and guidance counselors (Guru BK) to identify and resolve systemic registration barriers faced by regional applicants.
