Institut Tazkia Conduct Comparative Study Visit at UIN Jakarta
Rectorate, UIN News Online – Tazkia Islamic College (Institut Tazkia) conducts comparative study vist at UIN Jakarta regarding the development of international programs related to the implementation of double degrees and student exchange program.
“The Tazkia Institute already has an international program, but it needs further development,” Director of International Programs, Anita Priantina the meeting with the leadership of UIN Jakarta at the Rectorate Building, Friday (06/10/2022).
Present in the event, Vice Rector for Cooperation and Institutional Development Lily Surayya Eka Putri, Head of Center for International Cooperation Dadi Darmadi, Deputy Dean for Academic Afairs of The Faculty of Economics and Business UIN Jakarta Titi Dewi Warninda, and Head of Cooperation and Institutional Development Division Rahmat.
While Anita Priantina on the visit was accompanied by the Director of the Quality Assurance Institute Afif Zaerofi, Head of the Sharia Business Management Study Program Thuba Jazil, Secretary of the Sharia Economics Study Program Sebastian Herman, Head of the Bureau of Academic and Student Administration Hera Herdiansyah, and International Program Staff Shofi Arofatul Marits.
Anita said the Tazkia Institute currently has an International Program. The programs offered include three study programs, namely Islamic Accounting, Islamic Business and Management, and Islamic Economics.
However, she added, the three programs are still in the development process and require many cooperation partnerships.
“We continue to explore cooperation opportunities with several international institutions, both at home and abroad, including with UIN Jakarta,” said Anita.
Therefore, she hopes that through comparative studies and meetings with the leadership of UIN Jakarta, an overview of the steps for developing international cooperation will be obtained.
“UIN Jakarta already has a lot of international experience. So, we are here to gain that experience,” she added.
On the same occasion, Vice Rector for Cooperation and Institutional Development of UIN Jakarta Lily Surayya Eka Putri said that UIN Jakarta's international cooperation is currently one of the flagship programs for campus development. Many collaborations have been carried out with a number of international institutions, both with universities and other government agencies.
Institutions that have established such cooperation include the Faculty of Science and Technology, the Faculty of Sharia and Law, the Faculty of Dirasat Islamiyah, and the Faculty of Economics and Business. Cooperation includes student exchanges and dual degrees with several universities in Southeast Asia, in the Middle East and Africa, and Europe.
“Some of these collaborations are still running and some have been temporarily suspended,” she said.
Meanwhile, Titi Dewi Warnadi said, FEB offered to collaborate with the Tazkia Institute in improving human resources. Among them are sending the Tazkia Institute lecturers to pursue their doctoral degrees in the Islamic Banking Study Program. (ns/usa)
