Inspiring and Honoring Top Students, FAH UIN Jakarta’s Studium Generale Emphasizes Networking and Resilience for the Golden Generation
Syahida Inn, UIN News Online - The Faculty of Adab and Humanities (FAH) at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta organized a Studium Generale titled “Breaking Professional Boundaries: Inspiration from Alumni of the Faculty of Adab and Humanities in Building a Wealth Mindset and Global Career,” to empower high-achieving and talented FAH students.
In his remarks at Syahida Inn on Tuesday (29/09/2026), Vice Rector for Student Affairs, Prof. Ali Munhanif, M.A., Ph.D., emphasized the importance of engaging students in student activity units (UKM) at UIN Jakarta as platforms for self-expression and individual capability actualization.
“Out there, many graduates finish with cum laude and mumtaz honors, yet struggle when entering the professional world. Therefore, UIN Jakarta provides various activities to assist you in preparing yourselves, and I am confident you will maximize this advantage to advance further in global career prospects,” he asserted.
Arabic Language and Literature alumnus from FAH UIN Jakarta and founder of AIK Kopi, Ahmad Ali Hukmi, S.S., shared his suggestion to adopt entrepreneurship education within the campus environment.
“So I feel, Mr. Dean, that adding Entrepreneurship courses for FAH students across every department would help cultivate an unyielding entrepreneurial spirit so they can create job opportunities for others,” he added.
Akbar Zainudin, M.M., renowned National Motivator and author of the book Man Jadda Wajada, guided students to align their mindset positively in both academic pursuits and post-graduation life starting from their early semesters.
“I am confident that if you are capable and willing to cultivate a positive mindset, it will foster your growth. It begins with conviction and discipline over what we consistently do every single day,” he emphasized.
Finally, the event concluded with the presentation of certificates and appreciation by Member of Commission VIII DPR RI, Sigit Purnomo Syamsuddin Said (famously known as Pasha Ungu), to 81 FAH students who achieved National and International accomplishments in 2026.
“In addition to intellectual brilliance, you must also be spiritually enlightened as students of UIN Jakarta. For this reason, I ask Professor Ali Munhanif to continuously guide these students so they become true agents of change for the nation,” he concluded.
This recognition was also facilitated by the philanthropic foundation established by an English Literature alumnus, the Aby Makruf Foundation (AMF), represented by Woro Indah Sitoresmi, S.S., M.Pd., awarding dozens of FAH students across various departments.
Furthermore, UIN Jakarta has opened nominations for the Student Achievement Awards (SAA) 2026 to honor its outstanding students, with results set to be announced ahead of early October.
