Innovation Meets Excellence: UIN Jakarta Medical Students Win Big at National and International Levels

Faculty of Medicine, UIN Online News — Over the past week, students from the Faculty of Medicine (FK) at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta have achieved remarkable success across a series of prestigious national and international competitions. These accomplishments reflect their commitment to innovation and further solidify their academic competitiveness on a broader stage.

At The 26th International Meeting on Respiratory Care Indonesia (Respina) 2025, three students—Nabila Alya Z (Class of 2023), Yogiek Febrilanto (Class of 2022), and Dyanata Irdina A (Class of 2022)—won First Place in the category Innovations and Integrated Approach of Thoracic and Respiratory Care.

Their winning project “SihatTB: SuperApp for Tuberculosis Management through Artificial Intelligence and Islamic-Based Holistic Healthcare” integrates artificial intelligence with a holistic healthcare approach rooted in Islamic values for tuberculosis management. This success was made possible under the mentorship of distinguished faculty members, including Prof. Dr. dr. Mukhtar Ikhsan, Sp.P(K), MARS; dr. Dhuny, Sp.P(K), MARS; dr. Rahman; dr. Hiro, MT; and dr. Marscha, Sp.P.

Beyond the international arena, FK UIN Jakarta students also secured victories at the national level through Stacatto External 2025, hosted by the Faculty of Medicine, Tarumanagara University. The team composed of Fathan Mubiyna (Class of 2020), Rahma Octaviani (Class of 2020), and Maslim Syahruddin (Class of 2020) clinched First Place in the Public Poster Competition.

Additionally, another team consisting of Permata Kullun Nada (Class of 2019), Hafidz Mumtaz (Class of 2019), and Fathan Mubiyna (Class of 2020) won First Place in the Olympiad Competition at the same event.

Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Dr. dr. Achmad Zaki, M.Epid., Sp.OT., FICS, extended his appreciation for these outstanding achievements. According to him, the students’ success reflects not only strong academic competence but also a high level of innovative spirit. He emphasized that such accomplishments serve as tangible proof of FK UIN Jakarta’s commitment to nurturing a generation of professional, competitive, and ethically grounded physicians.

These achievements further highlight the active role of FK UIN Jakarta students in advancing innovation, enriching scientific knowledge, and demonstrating their readiness to contribute to both the national and international academic landscape.
