Independent Enrollment Offers 57 Study Programs

Rectorate, UIN News Online – UIN Jakarta’s new student admission for 2017/2018 academic years through Independent Enrollment (SPMB Mandiri) system offers 57 study programs that will be spread across 11 faculties.

Based on release obtained by UIN News Online, Wednesday, (03/21/2017), of the 57 programs offered, two of which are professional programs, namely Pharmacy Profession and Nursing Profession. The total quota for this enrollment system is limited to 35%.

Independent enrollment is a new student selection process that independently managed by UIN Jakarta. Prospective students who can be accepted must come from madrasah aliyah, pesantren, high school, and vocational school or equal. Through this enrollment system, prospective students can choose maximum two study programs. If the prospective student only selects one study program, then the second study program column must be filled with the same study program as in the first choice.

According to Sub-division head of Publication and Documentary UIN Jakarta Feni Arifiani MH, the choice of study program is based on the package system, Package A of religion and social field, Package B of science, and Package C (mixed) of religion, social, and science.

"Each applicant can only choose one package for two study programs, for example for those who choose Package C, he / she must select one study program in Package A and one in Package B," he said.

Feni also explained Package A can be selected by all students from all schools. While Package B and C can only be selected by graduates who come from SMA / MA / pesantren majoring in Science, Vocational School of Engineering, Vocational School of Agriculture, Vocational School of Pharmacy, Vocational School of Nursing, and Vocational School of Analyst (field of science).

Online registration for Independent Enrollment system will be open from April 2 to May 24, 2018. While the entrance test was held on June 2-3, 2018 in the form of written test. (usa)
