Independence Day Festival: Bazaar with Food Court and More by UIN Jakarta Career Center

Student Center, UIN Online News — UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta commemorated Independence Day by executing a Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprise (MSME) Bazaar supported by the UIN Jakarta Career Center at the Student Center on Sunday (August 17, 2025).

In partnership with the Islamic Religious Higher Education Institutions (PTKI) of the Ministry of Religious Affairs (Kemenag) of the Republic of Indonesia, UIN Jakarta provided a 50% discount on all food and beverage prices, a delicious bait for enthusiasm and excitement among all stakeholders at UIN Jakarta and PTKI.

The MSME bazaar, integral to the Independence Festival series, aims to enhance the event with diverse snack offerings while also contributing to local food and beverage enterprises.

One of the merchants reported that their inventory was entirely depleted and they took advantage of participating in this MSME bazaar.

This event successfully facilitated enough economical and practical convenience for the crowds who may feel thirst or hunger—sure enough, they will buy some immediately.

"Initially, it facilitates community engagement; for instance, following a competition, participants can explore several items in the bazaar, kill some time, and acquire trading skills," Lydia, a merchant, expressed.

This flash sale, guided by the UIN Jakarta Career Center, is anticipated to enhance the 80th celebration of Indonesian Independence Day and bolster the local economy amidst the low economic state.
