Improvise, Adapt, and Overcome: The Rector of UIN Jakarta Conveys His Message to The 135th Graduates
Harun Nasution Auditorium, UIN Online News - The inauguration of the 135th graduates was presided over by the Rector of UIN Jakarta, Prof. Asep Saepudin Jahar, M.A., Ph.D., on Sunday (23/02/25) at the Harun Nasution Auditorium.
Asep Saipudin Jahar opened this graduation ceremony themed "Realizing Innovative and Globally Reputable Intellectual Cadres," to signifies UIN Jakarta's graduates in creating a better future.
"Before you seek one success after another, I must say that I am very grateful for this moment since you have attained your first accomplishment as graduates of UIN Jakarta," he conveyed his appreciation for this ceremony.
Adaptability Surpasses Knowledgeability
He reminded the graduates that the graduation process is a challenging path, however it does not end there yet since this world needs more than just intelligence people.
"GPA is significant, but it is not the sole measure of worth. Nevertheless, the mindset of self-improvement on a daily basis will be crucial in life. Smart people are those capable of adapting in every case, no matter the difficulties," said Prof. Asep.
International Recognition
He emphasized that they do have several options for the future employment because UIN Jakarta offers over 60 globally certified study programs for those seeking to pursue their education overseas, enabling its graduates to compete with global institutions.
Producing Cadre
Asep Saipudin Jahar anticipates the contributions and accomplishments of the alumni in the future because UIN Jakarta always welcomes those who want to return as instructors and offers a variety of scholarships for graduates seeking to pursue master's or doctorate studies.
"Regardless of your future pursuits, be it in business, public service, or a profession, always remember your roots at UIN Jakarta. We are here, and we are waiting for you," said the rector of UIN Jakarta.
In concluding his remarks, he urged the graduates to always express gratitude towards their parents, since every achievement is indirectly influenced by their contributions.
"Upon this event, make sure to thank your parents in whatever manner should be valued. The distance from your parents does not imply a lack of support from them; they actually do provide moral, financial, and spiritual help," he closed.
